For those without prior Google Maps experience, you can zoom in by clicking the + sign in the upper left of the map. From the controls on the upper left you can also scroll right, left, down and up. Also, by clicking one of the three buttons in the upper right corner of the map, you can see the map in three different settings ("map" looks like what a map would like like, with "satellite" you can see what looks to be a completely accurate aerial image of the area, etc). Now you can see how serious I am about all the rice paddies. Click on the blue markers to see information about that spot (our apartment, our local grocery store, some of our schools and other area highlights related to our lives are marked in blue).


It is a strange feeling, when things finally settle down enough to realize you've been transplanted.
